Fall 2002 Newletter
Help Candidates
NOW and Vote on Nov 5
The November
5, 2002 election will have a significant impact on the death penalty
in Massachusetts. A number of our legislative allies, Democrats and
Republicans, have pro-death penalty challengers. At the same time, there
are several anti-death penalty legislators who are leaving the legislature.
Redistricting has created some new legislative districts, as well. Below
are anti-death penalty candidates with more than token challenges, beginning
with Shannon O'Brien, the only major party gubernatorial candidate who
is opposed to capital punishment.
